We are committed to making our website accessible for everyone.

Getting help

As part of our commitment to accessibility, we have provided an Accessible Jobs link on our homepage. Accessible Jobs connects you to our employer profile and job opportunities on The Big IDEA. The Heathrow Careers website has been created to be accessible and usable, but if you need some help in seeing the screen, hearing sound, using a keyboard or mouse or with reading and spelling, you might benefit from changing some of the settings on your computer or web browser.

The My Computer My Way website is a free guide published by the charity AbilityNet. This site has a lot of information on how you can change how your computer works for you. It includes accessibility information for Mac and PC users as well as information on smartphones and tablets.

Our ongoing commitment

We aim to achieve a AA rating under the WCAG 2.0 web accessibility guidelines. In doing so, we recognise that technology and content changes continually, so there may be some parts of this site that do not quite meet the standard. To meet any potential shortfall, we are also planning to incorporate an accessibility and language toolbar on this site in the future to make it easier for anyone who cannot customise their computer to use. This site has been created using inclusive design and has been reviewed by experts for accessibility, however we have not fully user tested the site with disabled people – this is expected before the end of 2016.

If you have any problems with the accessibility of this site or suggestions for improvement then please do not hesitate to contact us. All constructive feedback regarding the accessibility or usability of this website is welcome and will be carefully considered. We will always do what we can to make our site easier for everyone to use.
